Woven Spiral

Woven Spiral

Here is the end result of a HF trade on Woodturners America, with Chuck Jones. Very similar to the last pyro'd piece but I thought it might be different to throw in a spiraling pattern wrapping around, from the top to the bottom.

Turned from some more of that plain Jane silver maple. About 6 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" wide. Black dye on the outside and satin lacquer to seal it up. African blackwood finial.

Comments and critiques are always welcome, thanks.

Wow, Very well done, not much more to add except I will gladly store if for you if you run out of storage space.

Thanks. I'm afraid its already at its new home. This was created specifically for a hollow form trade over at WoodturnersAmerica. This is the piece I made for Chuck Jones. Thanks for your kind words.

Must have been a hard one to part with Scott, what a wonderfully crafted piece with so many elements to it with that slinky finial then down on to the varied pyro work & of course a great form for the base to work on.
Pete
