My first attempt using dyes.
Maple burl w/ ebony
Wiping varnish & light buff
What I find interesting is the one on the right. Here, it appears as the finial was turned while attached to the lid. This may, or may not be an original idea for you, but it is something different and interesting from my knowledge of such things.

Very good job overall, and your dye work looks pretty good as well. There is potential in this for you........
