Figured Maple and Indian Rosewood. Pyrographed feature rings, then colored with blended Arti Articidol Water Soluble dyes. Sealed with Deft semi-gloss. Comments are always welcomed.
Al, this piece has me puzzled. I can see the pyrography, but how did I you do the rest. It is unique, interesting, and beautiful.

What you did here is something special. The color and the contrast is awesome and the pyro gives the illusion of, how the heck did he do that. There is something about the shape that my eye does not follow. But thats just me being too picky.

I agree with you. I think if Al had brought the bottom down to a rounded point, then made a stand for the piece to sit in, it would have come across a lot better.
