Marudai Braiding Stand, used for Japanese Kumihimo cord making. Rosewood, Sapelle. Turned, lacquer finish. 24 inches high, top disc ~ 10.5 inch diameter, made 14 Tama (bobbins) as well - that are turned, drilled , need to weight them.
I just brought my marudai back from Totally Turning. You'd be amazed at how many people have no idea what these things, even with the cord sticking out and the tama spooled with cord?
