Candle Holders, Curly Maple, Split Turnings

I first made this form in the Fall of 2009. My goal was to use split turnings as a way to make larger pieces. I got back to this idea months later. It took me an entire month to figure out how I had done this form. Due to my careful notes and drawings, I made these in April. They are 21-24 inches tall and 3.5 inches square.

Barbara, these are beautiful offset candle holders in my book. They really would add an element of awe to anyones displaying them on the mantle. I guess that you had done them like an inside out plus offset turnings? Well done.
