AAW May 2011 Contest

The two pieces are the results of a long distance collaboration between Keith Holt & Andy DiPietro.
The multi-axis turning and carving are by Keith Holt. The back of the piece is the only evidence that it has been on the lathe. I wanted to see how sandblasting and coloring could add to Keiths meditation face series. The pieces stand 6.25 inches high and 3.75 inches wide and about 3 inches deep.

The quarter-sawn red oak blanks, sand-texturing, coloring and finish are by Andy DiPietro.
