Dialogue

Websters Dictionary (remember those?) defines dialogue as an interchange and discusion of ideasas in seeking mutual understanding or harmony.

I feel this piece is an apt metaphor for that description. 2 halves, similar yet with distinct differences, relating to each other but retaining their own identities. Note in the detail photo that the pierced lines on one half are curved, on the other half more straight and jagged. The steel balls separate the 2 halves but also join them together. (Hidden magnets hold the 2 halves and the balls in place.)

The next photo shows the pierced edge detail.

I've got to stop giving you glowing compliments, Alan, people will start to talk! Another beauty, my friend. You just can't make a piece that doesn't knock me out. Are people talking yet?

Thanks, Don. Don't you dare stop! I need all the pats on the back I can get. I had reservations about this one and I'm glad to see that both you and Peter like it. Whew!

well i'll pick up where Don left off...WOW! this piece is so cool i wish i'd thought of it! Seriously this is very beautiful, immaculate in execution and detail and i love the metaphor behind it!! GREAT JOB!!! btw...how is this guy made anyway? it looks turned and constructed too... REALLY GREAT
