AAW January 2011 Contest

This piece is titled "Ring of the Lords". The box is suspended from a small magnet at the top of the arch and can spin or swing freely. The box lid has hand chased threads. In the middle is a small wood ring made of ebony and curly maple that rests on an ebony pedistal.
I've seen this in person. Over the top!

Arn forgot to mention that maple in the ring is segmented, and the pedastal that it sets on is offset turned to provide the tilt.
