Jarrah Burl Platter

The 14.5" ring was turned into the 23" wide timber with copper inset along the top that has a mild green patina. The natural edge was blackened and the piece was finished with a gloss poly that was knocked back to a satin sheen with steel wool and wax.

I'm new to turning, with a purchase of a lathe mid July 2010. I've become a member of AAW and I'm amazed and humbled by level of skills and artistic abilities of the membership. I would welcome any critique and thanks for looking.
