Amish Farmer

This 10" diameter curly maple piece came from the Amish farm next to our house. All the trees were cut down and the buildings removed to make way for sports fields. The Lancaster Amish, like the rest of us, are often much more complex than most people think.
It was at an overgrown crotch. It didn't look like more than a bump on the main log, maybe a burl when I first cut into it.Then this popped out.
