Vicki's Beloved Tree

This Japanese teapot is made from Vicki Jordan's Beloved Tree. The Sugar Maple l received was nicely spalted and l was happy the way it turned out, hope l did the tree justice. l had a couple of pieces over and made the tea cups. l finished it with acrylic spray and buffed.

l was worried working on this piece up as it came from a special place, and trying to come close to the others that had produced spectacular pieces from the beloved tree. This was my first turning of Sugar Maple and it was a joy to work with. Mike
