"The Martians are Coming?"

This just looks like something from a 50's Warner Bros. cartoon. At least to me. The top finial is made from bendable wood, which is somehow processed so it will easily bend. I turned it first, re-moistened it and bent it around and clamped it until it was dry. It makes for some interesting uses.

The piece is 9"Hx6"diameter. It's figured maple and wenge.
Another beautiful and interesting piece, Alan. Nice to see you stepping away a bit from your usual style and trying a whole different look. Very well done and fun piece.
