With a full time job and other current obligations, I have found time to turn much to my pleasure. My friend Keith Burns certainly had an influence here. This is my first HF, and only took me three weeks (lol). The base is Madrone Burl and the top is Holly and Cocobolo. The vessel is sanded to 1000 grit then finished in spray Lacquer and buffed. As always C & Cs are welcome and appreciated .

Cassandra, if this is your first HF, WOW. Beautiful. I had to try numerous times with cheap (that's free) wood, not a beautiful piece like this.

cassandra: This is a phenom..I adore the cocobolo insert ..the finial is grand, the wood spectacular..it all rolls together into a sensational vessel. Did I read that Mr. Speier is not going to make anymore segmented vessels? Ok during that time, have him unload the dishwasher and you make these glorious vessels. !!!! :) :)
