Red & Black Vessel

This Red Oak form was turned and hollowed from side grain. The growth rings run horizontally exposing the vertically radiating medullary rays. It is an inverted bowl orientation with the pith positioned at the base.

Finish: Sandblasted, stained, black waxed & lacquered.

Dims: 6 3/4 H x 7 1/4 Dia.
Andy, I had a hard time between this and the Oakcobolo piece, but in the end I liked the grain in this beautiful hollow form better!
