Small oak vase

Small oak vase

Oak, turned, carved
I think it's more convenient (and easy) to give the false sheet of wood a corner shape outside of the bowl
and only a straight relief in the inside.
In that way, this is a little (125 X 75mm) oak vase
Comments welcome,
Friendly, Lionel
Wonderful piece! Could you elaborate a bit on the interior relief cut, or do you have a picture? I'm assuming the ease in performing this inside a tight vase is due to the shape of the tools. Thanks in advance!! This one's going in my "inspirational forms" photo list.

Hello Nate,
Interior shape follow the exterior. Just a worry at the bottom...
The shape of the "wood sheet" is carved on 3/4 the height
the first I've turn I did not think before. I've set the corner inside...it's more difficult to carve inside
and the look is the same.
Friendly, Lionel.
