This is a maple(?) burl bowl, it's approx. 6" dia. x 4 1/2" high. First I put yellow analine dye over the whole piece, then wiped green dye up from the bottom and blue down from the rim, leaving the center yellow. The lines and some of the wood didn't take the dye so it ended up looking like a topographic island map.
