I guess we've all had a piece of wood that looked like it wasn't even worthy of the firewood pile. This is mine. It was given to me by a buddy who found it while cutting firewood and thought I could use it. Man, this was ugly. Twisted grain, rotting, bark were it doesn't belong, cracks and so forth. Not wanting to disguard his generosity, I decided to go for it. After a bunch of coffee filler, CA glue and a false bottom, this is how it turned out. The places that look like brush strokes are the natural wood. The grain did bring a smile to my face. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.
