Walnut Candle Stand

I finally got the full size version finished. Well not exactly finished. It still needs a few more layers of finish and some TLC but it will be done by Christmas which is good because I'm sure my sister wants it.
It's made from Walnut. I had subtle redesign from my miniature. The center spindle had a defect so I had to shrink it in diameter more than I had planned. I wasn't happy with the feet on the mini so I changed the angles, made the foot narrower and tapered the thickness from 1" to 3/4" as it goes to the feet.
The glue up on the table top went well and the joint is almost invisible. There's just a very slight telltale on one end due to the grain running not quite parallel. considering this is the first table top I've done in about 5 years I was happy.
John I like it,I think it turned out beautiful.Well done.I'm sure your sister will love it.

very nice

Great looking piece, John! Merry Christmas! Phil

John,
I think the piece is outstanding, but I've come to expect that your next post will offer a perspective reference revealing that the piece is only 10mm tall. Beautiful piece from all angles no matter how tall it is.

Sweeeet! Well done, John!
