Thanks so much, Jeff! I'm really happy about the way this one turned out. The blackwood sure cuts well, and I was really lucky things worked out. The black wood insert was trial #5 on my quest to get a pattern I liked. As one might imagine, I was very anxious about doing the pattern on the top of the lid...it's easy to do another insert, but another lid is another story.
