Clock and Base

This spherical clock was turned from hard Maple and the base an end grain pyramidal support. The project was initially turned as an exchange item in our local club but did not get a finish applied soon enough. Hence, it has been donated to a good friend who collects clocks for his birthday. The finish is water based dye and lacquer followed by buffing. The clock measures 3 x 5. It was fun to turn and not too time consuming.
