Chestnut Oak Burl Hollowform

This is the chestnut oak burl hollow form I posted a while back in roughout stage, where I had a black widow spider come out of the nooks/cranies and got into my Trend air helmet. That was a scary few minutes! The figure in this burl and the bark inclusions in this are wild! I still have the other half of this burl which when whole weighed well over 400 lbs. Approx. 13" high and 13" wide.
This pic was taken at the gallery, where it sold the 2nd day in our October show for $400
