Chaco Passages

I have been doing these chaco pieces since about 1998. This piece is made from a single piece of Alligator Juniper. The bricks are carved with an air turbine carver, sandblasted and colored. The turquoise bricks are cut and shaped with lapidary equipment. About 9 inches in diameter by 15 inches tall.

Excellent! It reminds me of the torreon in Lincoln, New Mexico- a fortress for defense against the Apache raids.
