Burl cap mirror

This was a piece of burl someone sliced off a larger burl. It was about 2" thick and 18"x10". Really odd shaped and I kept it for about 2 years before finally figuring what to do with it. I cut 2 mirror blanks and 2 handles out of it. One of the mirror blanks was fairly thick so I resawed it and got this piece which was too thin to make a mirror. I took some more pieces of the burl and cut them 1/2" square. I had just enough to make a 12 sided ring which I glued to the other side to make the mirror thick enough work. Then I only had an odd shaped piece left but was just enough to carve this curved handle out of.
The other side is nothing special. Just a segmented ring attached to make it thick enough to take the glass.
