Bubinga and Elm Burl Box

A box turned from Bubinga and inlaid with Elm Burl. I really like how these woods go together. Lacquered, level sanded to 1200, then buffed.
Whoa John!! I had no clue you were on the Forum!! Welcome back and great looking group of boxes!

PS Everyone: John is the one who taught me how to make boxes for the first time and he is a big inspiration behind my some of my boxes!

I see where you got your chops Gabriel. Beautiful Box, John.

Both Gabriel and his brother, Ethan, are fast becoming top-drawer turners. As you can see from his posts, he has a natural eye for form, and his technical skill set is expanding and improving all the time. It is gratifying to have had whatever small part in his development.
