Using one of the most rare and sought after of all the Rosewoods, this capsule box is turned from Brazilian Tulipwood ( Dalbergia Frutescens). My wood supplier pulled this piece he had been saving for 17 years from his private stash and offered it to me! The small size just needed to be a capsule box. The wood contained a couple tiny pinholes and micro checks, but I worked around those and here it is!! Turned, hollowed to a really thin wall, and finished with buffed wax under gloss lacquer. Size is 1 1/2" in diameter and 1 3/4" tall. This wood is very rare and probably irreplaceable, so enjoy!
