"Bottled under pressure"

Another in a series of pieces that starts with a pair of half-molds or impressions that are turned on the lathe. The "vase press" is made of walnut; the bottle hollow form is made of bleached maple. The removable walnut blocks which contain the impressions are roughly 2"x4"x7" and were turned with a stroboscope and a laser hollowing rig. The walnut frame is about 13" high.
Thanks, Gary. The finish is polymerized tung oil on the walnut and Krylon matte finish for the bleached maple bottle.
