Nice series Jim. I like this one the best mostly because of the complementary colors....and just about everyone loves box elder!

Thanks much for the comments. This design was the result of many drawings and many attempts at bending wood. I finally got thing right. The legs are mahogany and died to match the blood wood top. Bloodwood was used to bring out the red in the Box Elder. I enjoy doing these and have several in the works. The hardest part is bending the legs. Thanks again for the comments.

Dave, all bent wood pieces are one piece of wood. They were cut flat then bent. The East Indian Rosewood and Ash piece looks like it is laminated because of the grain. I thought about lamination but I like a challange. One could laminate the bends but you would need a mold or form to ensure they stay in place until glue is dry. I do have some designs that may have to be done with liminating but, I keep trying to use on piece. I think one piece make the look. I think laminating would take away some of the wonder of "how they do that?". ;)
