Blackwood Box w/ Pierced Lid

This African Blackwood box has a screw-on lid. The top of the lid was cut out and fitted with a piece of faux ivory. The pierced lid is about 0.100" thick, and looks the same from the inside of the box (i.e. both sides cut with the same pattern). Decoration and piercing was done with an ornamental lathe. The size is 2.2" tall.
