Black Box

Here's a lidded box I turned from cherry and horn. The body is made from a section of horn that was heated, straightened, turned and polished. The horn was mostly black and I dyed it (RIT) to even the color. It is attached to the cherry base with pins. The knob was turned from a black horn tip and glued to the cherry lid. The box is approximately 2-1/4" dia. and 3-1/4" high.
