Black and Blue Vase 2

Black and Blue Vase 2

Wood: Pohutukawa
Height: 210mm
Diameter: 175mm
Texture: Pyrography
Paint: iridescent acrylic paint

This is the second piece in this series and is made from a beautiful piece of very old Pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) one of NZs nicest hardwoods, in my view anyway!!!! The only problem I find with this timber is it heat checks very easily, so lots of care is needed when sanding but the results are worth the extra time it takes.

C & C welcome.
