Basswood Vase

Basswood vase, 11 high x 5 diameter x 3/16 thick. Finish is wipe-on poly and it has a coat of Renaissance wax to give it that smooth-as-glass feel.

As always, your comments, opinions and critiques are welcomed!

Thanks for looking!
I like the form with this piece Steve, might be my eyesight but does it have a slight outward flare toward the neck?
Nice clean job :)

Thanks for the kind words Pete - I do appreciate it! You are correct - there is a slight flare to the neck of the form!

Nice piece Steve. Interesting grain. I like your photography and would like to know what kind of setup you have. Well done.

Thanks Bernie! I use a small photo-tent that I picked up off eBay a few years ago, a graduated background, two clamp-on shop light reflectors with daylight CFLs.. and a tripod. Hope that helps!
