Autumn's Joy

Autumn's Joy

I made this segmented vessel last year. It's made of walnut and maple burl. I dremeled out opennings after I made a bunch of clay leaves (I've started yet another hobby), and outlined each one in position around the perimeter. I burned the edges of the opennings to highlight the leaves.
Any comments welcome-thanks for looking.-Robin
For those not in attendance at last year's "segmented symposium", this piece was one of the highlights of the Instant Gallery. Truly a very fine piece of work.

Robin, very nice, forgive me if i am not up to date on segmented pieces, but is this piece a perfect example of spring boarding ????
