This "Anniversary Vase" was a gift to my wife for our 40th anniversary. The body of the vase is mahogany, the cabochon and base are spalted maple, the inter-twined rings are hard maple. Black milk was burnished away on the beads and satin polyurethane was used on the entire piece. There is a 5/8" x 6" test tube inserted into the vase to accommodate a live flower. The dimensions are 14.5" tall x 12.25" wide x 2.5" deep. Additionally, a nice dinner out was also required.
