Bradford pear, carved, pierced, painted. The body and crown turned as one piece.

Angels have been depicted in art through the years in many different ways. Some are male, some female, some having elaborate gowns or clothing to the very simple drapes. Some have halos, some with shawls, some with flowers in their hair, and some with no head adornments at all. This is my rendition this year. She is about 5 tall but yet very light in weight. She could be a tree topper, hang as an ornament, or sit on a table top or mantle. A light on the inside would be effective shining through the piercings.
Hello Hal,

very nice! The piercing is great and very nice colors. How did you attach the wings?
Robert

Robert, the wings are attached using a 1/4" dowel. The holes partially drilled to not show.
