2108 Spalted Hackberry.

Origin for this bowl is Missouri. Original block was 26% MC, and after roughing, this bowl took a total of ten months to stabilize. 6 3/8" x 2 3/4", 6.9 oz. Sanded and finished by my usual methods. I've turned quite a few spalted hackberry bowls, and I consider this one to be the best of the best! Thank you Mother Nature!

Odie, I've turned a fair amount of spalted hackberry. None of mine had as nice a spalting pattern as this. Most of mine had the dark streaks but the lighter tone wood was muddy.

Randy.....I've never seen Hackberry in the wild, and by the comments I've gotten, I'm beginning to think I'm a very lucky guy to find this one!
