Original block of wood had 16% MC. After roughing/anchorseal, the roughed bowl took 5 months of seasoning before it stabilized, ready for second turning to finish it up. 5 1/2" x 3". I believe most East India Rosewoods available in the international marketplace are initially purchased on Indian government auctions. This is because of it's reduction in forest range in recent years. Not an easy wood to turn, but with sharp tools and good technique, it can be done with great success.
