The ornaments picture are my response to the articles in the American Woodturner Dec. 2020 issue.
Thanks to Kurt Woll-Klammer and John Lucas for the inspiration although I did try to put my own mark and ideas on both styles. The umbrella style are made using red oak end grain and walnut finials with a spray lacquer finish. The initial trial was using a dead fall red oak with double whatchamacallits and then a few others out of live red oak, but I'm not too sure if that works. The Zig Zag ornaments are made of walnut and cherry mostly with a 2 1/2" diameter sphere and finished with CA. The "Zig Zag Ornaments" thread in the discussion forum went into detail on how I produced mine.
