The box is 3 1/4 inches tall amd 3 1/2 inches wide. Dyed a very light blue with med. blue next going into dark blue. Put Liming wax on then sealed with Wipe-on-Poly. The lid is Cocobolo with chatter work in the inside and outside oe the lid. Turned a 1 inch Acrylic ball to put on the top. Dirlled the hole all the way through the lid and did some carving work on the end of the Acrylic the came through. Also dyed the inside of the piece.
Hello Gary,
...liming wax then sealed...
and no problems ?
lid is cocobolo, seems very dark
chatter seems no simple...very intricate, no ?
and the use of acryl is very cool with the magnifying effect on the picture
congrats, Lionel.

Thanks. No, no problem applying the finish over the liming wax. The piece of Cocobolo has some brown streaks along the edge and none in the center where the chatter work is. Had fun with the chatter tool doing this piece. Even holding the top in my hand the wood is dark, have been cutting on this piece of Cocobolo for a while that the top is made from. It's down to about 4 inches long.
