1497 Quilted Maple

Finished 9/20/19, Quilted Maple, 11 9/16 x 2", 1lb, 0oz, Initial bowl blank was 12% MC however lost 40 grams after roughing, and over 8 months during the seasoning process. Most additional warp is eliminated with the seasoning process, and necessary for fine detail work. Sanded to 600gt, 0000 steel wool, Danish Oil Natural, Beall 3-step buff. This is a very unique quilting pattern that I have seldom seen, and very happy to have this example piece.
You're right - that is a unique QM pattern. I've never seen that before. I'm very impressed with the spacing of your grooves/beads. I'm really good with two grooves :D ....not so much with three or more! o_O Do you use a special tool, i.e., a male threading tool?

@odie But the grooves are so close together that I can't visualize a tool rest that would allow for that. Do you have a photo.....or is that a trade secret? :D

@Breck Whitworth Thank you very much, Breck......coming from you, who is a very creative, and accomplished turner, I take the compliment appreciatively. :D

I hope I never get to the point where I don't evaluate my own work with open mindedness towards improvement.......:D
