Untitled kinetic sculpture
Multi-axis turned whale in cherry atop a sapele wave with an African blackwood counterweight. Made for the gift swap. Approximately 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide (forgot to measure before sending it).
After I put everything together I had to remake the whale since the first one was a little too big to balance. Brass balance points were turned and the bent brass piece soldered to the top. Finished with BLO.
