Thirty days since ordering, the Harvey T-40 arrived at 7:15 last evening via UPS Freight. Well crated, it fit right into the Ranger bed without issue. Glad the unloading went smoothly as the Sheriff drove bye twice...had to unload on the shoulder of the main highway because the truck was to long to make the turns and up the hill of the dead-end country dirt road to my home. The delivery delay gave me time to rearrange the shop, modify the table bench where it will reside and install the 240v wiring. Might have to go to Plan B on putting the wet sharpener next to lathe on table top, depends on measurements once uncrated.
Now for the bad news...wife has “us” committed to the citywide yard sale on Saturday and preparation is today! Tried the “I have other plans” and “You ain’t the boss of me” routines...didn’t work!

@Larry Mitchell congrats on your new baby :) I have a G0800 and love the machine, not that I get much time on it, and if the T-40 is anything like its big brother you are going to be happy. The forums have been stealing time away from my lathe as of late

Okay, got the honey-do list for the yard sale finished and headed up to the shop. Uncrated, plastic wrap off, oil papers removed, measurements recorded and pictures taken. Gonna take a bit to get the grease off, they weren’t bashful with it. From outboard end of servo motor to tip of quill handle is 54”, banjo is 13.75” long and spindle center to top of ways is 7.25”. Mounting to bench and LED lighting is next.
