I am looking for exotic turning squares that measure at least 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 x 9" long to make Kaleidoscopes. The finished Kaleidoscopes are 2" in diameter and i was only able to find them listed as 2 x 2 so i ordered a bunch from a mail order house that were suppose to be 2 x 2 but all measure 1 7/8 x 1 7/8 so now i am looking for a source that sell larger squares.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

1 7/8" sounds like a design oportunity. Cut the in half, joint the cut and glue in a contrasting wood to give you 2 1/8" The cut the other side in half and do the same.

BTW you don't havve to cut down the center or even parallel with the length of the wood.

Putting some white, black, red or green venier along each side of the fille can have a strikeing effect.
