Current interests are making small spheres and experimenting with segmented turnings. I enjoy restoring woodworking machinery from the 50's and 60's, mainly tools purchased at auction from local school districts.

Hmmm. Will consult the dictionary on that one. Again, welcome to the forum. As for restoring machinery, I happened to run across a fellow here in Tennessee that restores horse-drawn wagons, buggies, etc. for private use and museum displays. He has an ancient mortising machine to mortise wagon wheels and run off belts that were originally cowhide or buffalo hide.
It is told that a person asked a woodturner how he turned a sphere. He remarked, "Just run off anything that doesn't look like a sphere."

Welcome aboard. Nice sphere... Maybe someday you could share some pics on how this was put together.

Shame they don’t make sturdy equipment like that bandsaw anymore. Interesting to see that some bandsaws had a foot brake installed back then.
