After turning boxes for the last 2 months (whew!) it's time for a change. This seasonal platter is turned from hard maple and embellished with colorful stencils. The bird and grass stencils are on the right side and the flower cluster is on the left. Finished with wax only as I like my platters...

I took a risk with this one, as I have never attempted this kind of stenciling. The platter is figured maple with two colored designs on the corners. I wanted to keep it simple and elegant. Finished with three coats of semi-gloss lacquer. Size approx. 8"x 2"

Decided to make another pierced platter. I forgot how difficult it was to pierce 1/8” thickness. Normally I would pierce 1/16”+, but in order to safely handle I do 1/8”.
