Does anyone have any first hand experience with Laguna lathes?

Kelton.

There are a couple of posters on the "Owners Poll 18"x47" lathes thread on this forum, that have spoken to their experiences with the Laguna 18/47 and the customer service they have gotten.

The thread is long, but if you will go to the last half of the postings you will find more info on the Laguna. It will be a helpful thread for you most likely, especially related to CS issues.

Good luck.

To save you a LOT of reading...there has been a lot more bad stuff said about the Laguna lathes than good things. They've had some quality control and customer service issues.

Don't buy one

I own a Laguna 18/47.

DON'T BUY ONE

WHEN it breaks down Laguna customer service won't be there to help you.

They have three models, all US made to very high standards, starting at $4K.

I've owned a Laguna 18/47 for only 13 months and can't wait to get rid of it.

Don is spot on, buy a good one and don't look back.

My Robust is on order.:D
