I'm working on a project with an international theme and want to use woods from each continent. (Oak will represent Anarctica because the Endurance was made of oak when Shackleton sailed her on the famous expedition.)

Does anyone have a list of where the various hardwoods come from, especially the exotics that can be acquired fairly easily like canarywood and bloodwood?

All help and suggestions are much appreciated.
