Urn for a friend

A friend requested that I turn an urn for her. Largest hollowform I've done so far.
That is really beautiful, Jenny. What wood is it and did you chase the threads yourself? I'm putting final touches on a segmented urn for my uncle and really like the finial on yours. Thanks for posting. -Mike

Thanks Mike. It is russian olive wood. I used india ink to die the finial black. I think it was cherry or maple? I used plumbing fitting threads from a black ABS(?) clean out fitting. Good luck with the urn for your uncle. I am thinking of making a segmented one too.
