Twisted Jack

Twisted Jack

This 12 inch diameter twisted 'jack' was turned from poplar, stained blood red. The legs were turned on and off center to create the twisted and round sections. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system
Cool and nice idea for a turning subject..
Are the posts threaded?

very nice photo work also

thank you for sharing

Michael, the posts are not threaded. I pre-drilled four 1 inch diameter holes in the center section before turning it (i.e. while it was square stock) and then each of the other four legs have 1 inch diameter tenon ends that I inserted into the holes and glued. The twisted sections were turned off-center in pairs. Thanks for your comments.
