The mother of all the finials

The finial on the small vase is 4.5" high and 1/16" OD, just for comparison. The "mother" is 27" high.
Everyone is making a finial box, where the finial is on top of the form. I have decided to make a box inside the finial. This one is made out of eboniized maple. 27 inch high, with small hearth shaped diamond on the bottom of the box. I hope Cindy Drozda and Ashley Harwood will approve, :).
