Suspended Vessel #1

This is the first of a series of suspended vessels that I plan to create. #2 is in progress. The vessel is marri burl and is 10" x 5". It is supported by maple compressed wood and the base is driftwood. The entire piece is approx 13 x 13. Any comments or critiques are welcomed and appreciated.

Very nice piece, I like the drift wood, has an almost shark like presence and the vessel is beautiful, check out shark eggs. I like the style and form of the maple, but I'm not sure of the color of the maple it tends, for me, to draw my eye away from the vessel and the base. It may just be the lighting and my monitor though.
